Bargain Hunt: LCD HDTVs

There is an article on PCMag.com that highlights the good deals that can be found for some the the better LCD HDTVs I’ve reviewed recently – including a couple LED-lit models.  I often suggest people shopping for a new HDTV save up the cash first as waiting a little longer often results in a lower price for the particular model they were interested in, or the same amount of cash will afford a larger sized screen.

I’m shopping for a new HDTV now. I know the LED backlit displays are all the rage but I don’t really feel like waiting – again. I already waited for the 240hz sets to come down to a reasonable amount (about $1700 for a 52″ screen) and now I’d have to wait another six months for LED-backlit sets to come down.

What are some good bargains I might look for right now? Besides the LED-backlit stuff, are there other features I should focus on? I already have a good receiver and speakers (the new onkyo 707 THX select receiver is awesome), I’m just looking for a good display.

I am looking to buy a 46″ LED or plasma tv for around $1300. Would like to know what you would consider on buying.
    Thank You.
